東京都立芸術高等学校を経て東京藝術大学音楽学部器楽科ピアノ専攻卒業
在学中に藝大オーケストラ、東京ニューシティー管弦楽団と共演。
卒業後ウイーンへ留学、アヴォ・クユムジャン氏に師事。
同時にウイーン市立音楽院にてピアノソロをイーゴ・コッホ氏に、室内楽科でピアノデュオとピアノトリオをアルテンベルクトリオに師事。
エリカ・チャーリー奨学金受賞。
ベーゼンドルファーホールでのソロコンサートに出演。
2005年1月、ウイーン市立音楽院室内楽科を満場一致の最優秀で卒業。
留学中、ウイーン、バーデン、ザルツブルク（オーストリア）、テル・ハイ（イスラエル）のピアノ講習会に参加。G.ナードル、K.H.ケンマリング、W.ヴァッチンガー、O.マイセンベルク、E.クラソフスキー、Y.カプリンスキーの各氏に師事。
現在ソロの他、室内楽や伴奏、リサイタル共演、CDレコーディング、ピアノトリオ「トリオアルデンテ」（ヴァイオリン 副島聖代、チェロ 町田妙子）で活動している。
The pianist Mitsu Kataoka was born in Tokyo, Japan and has been learning the piano since the age of 3.After graduating from The Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1997, she went on to study in Vienna, Austria.
She studied with
professor Avo Kouyoumdjian and also was in a class of professor Igo Koch
at the Vienna Conservatory of music. She entered the chamber music class
of the Altenberg-trio. In 2005 she graduated with “Summa cum
Laude”During her studies at University in Japan she played as a soloist
with Geidai Orchestra and Tokyo Newcity Orchestra. She has studied in
master classes with O. Maisenberg, K.H.Kemmerling, W.Watzinger, G.Nador.

She regularly gives public performances as a soloist, chamber musician
and accompanist.
